WWII British Civic Posters

The "Keep Calm and Carry On" poster was created by the British government in 1939 as part of a series to boost morale during World War II. Designed by the ...Ministry of Information, approximately 2.5 million copies were printed, but the poster was never widely distributed and held in reserve for times of extreme crisis. The series included two other posters: "Your Courage, Your Cheerfulness, Your Resolution Will Bring Us Victory" and "Freedom is in Peril". These posters were widely displayed across the country in public places such as railway stations, shops, and on notice boards. Rediscovered in 2000, "Keep Calm and Carry On" has since become an iconic symbol of British resilience, widely reproduced and celebrated for its simple yet powerful message.
